Careers
We Work With Companies Where Infrastructure and Regulation Shape How Products Are Delivered.
Layden Ventures works with people who understand how capital interacts with real‑world constraints in our markets. Below are current roles and advisory collaborations currently under consideration.
Sustainable Transportation Funding Analyst – U.S. Market
We are seeking a Sustainable Transportation Funding Analyst to support the evaluation of grants and incentive programs for sustainable transportation initiatives in the U.S. market.
Role Overview
The Analyst will research and track grants and incentive programs across federal and sub‑national levels that support low‑emission transport, commercial fleets, and related infrastructure. The role focuses on gathering information on eligibility criteria, application processes, timelines, compliance requirements and potential financial impact on specific projects and portfolio companies.
You will work with Layden Ventures team members and selected companies to turn public information on incentives into clear summaries and inputs that help management teams and investors understand available funding options.
Key Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in research, policy, consulting, sustainability, transport, or a related analytical role, ideally with exposure to clean transportation, energy, or public funding.
- Familiarity with U.S. grants, incentives, or regulatory frameworks (federal or state level), or a demonstrable interest and ability to learn quickly.
- Strong desk‑research skills: ability to read program documentation, extract key points and compare conditions across programs.
- Comfort working with structured information (spreadsheets, timelines, application checklists) and basic financial implications of incentives.
- Clear written communication, with attention to detail when drafting summaries and internal notes.
Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure
We are looking for a Portfolio Manager focused on infrastructure‑related investments in our core markets.
Role Overview
The Portfolio Manager will oversee a set of infrastructure‑exposed investments and work closely with founding teams to track performance, manage risk, and report progress against the fund’s thesis. The role covers portfolio monitoring, capital allocation recommendations, support on follow‑on decisions, and preparation of materials for internal and investor use.
You will act as a bridge between investment decisions and portfolio reporting, helping the firm refine its view of how infrastructure markets in Europe are evolving.
Key Experience
- Experience in portfolio management or project finance within infrastructure, ideally with exposure to assets in our core sectors.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data from portfolio companies and translate it into clear insights for partners and investors.
- Familiarity with European infrastructure or energy markets, including regulatory and commercial drivers.
- Comfort working directly with management teams on reporting and forward planning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare concise portfolio updates and materials for LP reporting.
Investor Relations Analyst
We are hiring an Investor Relations Analyst to support how Layden Ventures communicates with existing and prospective investors.
Role Overview
The Investor Relations Analyst will assist with day‑to‑day investor communication and fundraising support, including preparing materials for meetings, maintaining investor records, and helping draft sections of reports and presentations.
The role is execution‑focused and supports senior team members, rather than owning relationships or leading fundraising processes.
You will work closely with partners and the wider team to ensure portfolio and firm information is accurate, and presented clearly in investor updates, data requests and fundraising materials.
Key Experience
- Significant experience in investor relations within private markets, ideally combined with fundraising or capital introduction exposure.
- Track record of managing relationships with institutional investors and family offices, or similar sophisticated LPs.
- Experience producing high‑quality investor communications, including quarterly reports, presentations, DDQ materials, and AGM content.
- Strong understanding of private fund structures and how performance and regulatory requirements shape investor communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and with context.
